Meditations on my Body Series

Heavily process-driven, my practice is one of continual experimentation as I search for materials that can be combined to create organic structures which resonant with my own experience of the body. I have a fascination with early medical discoveries and often draw in museum medical collections to better understand anatomical structures and the tools of early medical education, such as wax anatomical models and the drawings of Vesalius. My work makes oblique reference to these histories in the materials I choose, such as wax, Japanese paper starch and stitching.
