I am interested in investigating different approaches to art making other than personal practice. Lockdown 2020, is a collective artwork that captures the experience of friends and family under the first national ‘lockdown’ in spring 2020. The completed artwork was first installed on Peckham Rye on 13 September 2020.
Lockdown 2020 brings together more than forty contributions made then sent by post between 15 April and 15 May 2020 and assembled using 'free sewing'. Each piece expresses something about the maker, their emotional state at the time, or simply their desire to make something as a result of imposed isolation.
