Working between painting and sculpture I adopt a similar approach - one of speculative making - to both the application of paint and the construction of three-dimensional works. Working wet on wet I enjoy the visceral qualities of oil paint.

These works investigate our ability to have multiple emotional responses to a single incident. They use the multiple portrait format to explore this phenomenon, each work endeavouring to capture a single person in many psychological states.

The Young Sisters and Father series explore ideas around family and memory. Working in series draws attention the character of memory which is that one moment can be remembered in many very different ways.
